We're just back from Maui. I haven't even slept, but I had to write to thank you for helping to make our vacation so magical. This has been the best week of my life. Our trip was a dream come true for my family. I know you both worked hard to iron out the kinks that came up, and everything was just perfect for us!

I did a lot of research before I left, and I thought I knew what to expect, but Maui just blew all our expectations out of the water. It was just beyond anything I could have imagined! Paradise is truly the word.

Beautiful Overwater Villas in the Maldives

Hey Faye,

Sent you a bunch of photos. The Maldives at Soneva Gili is amazing. The villa is huge with a top roof deck and front deck right by the water. It even has a planked walk way to the shower with water below and you can see marine life going by. There was so much room to lounge around that one can stay in all week. Also the lagoon is very shallow and teeming with marine life and all sorts of tropical fish so you do not need to go far to snorkel.
The spa is fantastic but we were slightly peeved that they kept saying our massages were complementary and so we can only reserve slots no later than 3 pm unless we upgrade, which we did. We also did not go for the sunset cruise. On the other hand service was great and we got a Girl Friday who was always on hand to make sure we are doing fine. Food is great and the portion enormous so going half board was a good idea.

The resort was pretty full when we arrived but it definitely did not feel like it. We hardly saw any other guests while biking around or snorkeling at different locations. All in all we loved it and definitely recommend it to all our friends and family. All your clients should be extremely happy with Soneva Gili if they are willing to venture to Asia. One last thing they did not have the room we wanted but I believe we got a even better room in exchange. And as soon as I asked about room location the Girl Friday immediately told me they know I asked for a specific room but they could not accomodate me this time but got me a great room at another jetty.
Maldives is extremely beautiful and this resort has the right balance of everything to make it a great location.

Wonderful Tahitian Honeymoon

Hi Melissa,

The trip was great and Faye did a great job setting everything up. The honeymoon was fantastic.

1) Pearl Beach Bora Bora was wonderful, and beautiful.
2) Sofitel in Moorea was really great
3) Airfare worked no problem
4) Got free upgrades to overwater bungalows at both resorts
5) We were very happy that we switched from the Pearl Beach in Moorea to the Sofitel. While the Pearl Beach in Bora Bora was great, but the Moorea one, when we visited, was a bit "sad." (empty, no life, etc in comparison to the Sofitel)

Thank you again for all of your help. The honeymoon was wonderful and exactly what we wanted thanks to all of your help. We hope to use you guys in the future.

Wonderful luxurious Hawaii trip

Faye,

Thank you for coordinating a wonderful trip for us! It was so relaxing to know that you'd already taken care of all of the details for us! The resorts were lovely and luxurious with amazing views and amenities. We enjoyed the Kahala slightly more than the Princeville Resort - mainly because of room layout. Of course, the dolphins at the Kahala were fun to watch too! We had fun taking trips to Princeville's shopping area and we had a good day of driving to go see Waimea Canyon as well.

All-in-all, we really enjoyed the trip! The down side was that it rained the whole time, but a rainy day in Hawaii is better than a sunny day in Texas! We loved the movie/tv Hummer tour we took - it was terrific! We also booked a Pearl Harbor/Island tour - so getting to see Pearl Harbor was an experience we will never forget.

Our Amazing Caribbean Vacation

The entire trip was perfect, the only hiccup was on a day that we rented scooters to tour the Island. Let me tell you, I have not yet seen a better place to be stranded on an Island with a broken down scooter for an hour than Chalk Sound Round in Providentials, Turks and Caicos. I have been to Cancun, Jamaica, Hawaii, Cabo San Lucas, and I have never seen water so beautiful!

Beautiful Viwa beachfront Wedding

We had a fabulous trip!!! Everything was perfect! Viwa is THE place to go in Fiji for sure. I'm still slowly getting all of the pictures downloaded but I will definitely send you some. It's just taking a little time trying to do that and take care of the baby now that we're back. Thank you so much again!!! You and the McCoy team have been wonderful and the staff at Viwa are truly out of this world! They are a rare bunch, beyond welcoming and nice. I have never experienced anything like them in my life and can't wait to go back. Johnny and I made some life long friends :)

On out return trip the catamaran broke down so we had to spend a few hours waiting at Octopus Resort for them to send another boat out and I am so happy we stayed at Viwa after spending a few hours at Octopus. Viwa puts Octopus to shame! Lol, that's just my honest opinion if course. The privacy, the beaches, the staff, and just the overall experience is so much better at Viwa and I recommend Viwa to everyone wanting to visit Fiji. I doubt I'll ever stay anyplace else.

The only recommendation I could say to anyone going there is to maybe buy your alcohol, sunblock and things like that on the main island before you head out to Viwa because they are very expensive but it's understandable because they are not on the main route to receive supplies but that's the only sort of negative thing I could say about them.

The wedding was perfect! I could not have dreamed of anything more and our private dinner in the beach was just a perfect end to a perfect night. The chef and food is amazing!! I have never and probably will never have a lobster that phenomenal!! I could probably go on for days but I'll try to save some of my gratitude for when I send pictures. Thank you again Faye! Our trip was something you can only dream about!!!

Amazing Trip to Fiji and New Zealand by Faye Bartlett

Our trip to Fiji, Royal Davui and to Queenstown, The Rees Hotel was the trip of a lifetime!
Royal Davui was an experience in luxury, with wonderful personal attention by the entire staff, combined with 3 extraordinary diving experiences that will never be forgotten including the Beqa Lagoon Shark dive.

The Rees Hotel accomodations consisted of a brand new beautiful 2BR apartment (with full kitchen and dining area) with a patio, balcony and an incredible panoramic view of the lake and the Remarkables. Queenstown, which was a lot of fun (including happening bars, restaurants, a day of skiing, flights to and from Milford Sound and Keagan and keenan's Bungy Jump). Incredible combination of a wonderful South Pacific experience combined with really fun adventures in 8 inches of snow in Queenstown. So we are very grateful for your direction and assistance. Thank You for finding the Rees and arranging the trip so seemlessly.

When we arrived in Queenstown we learned that a very large snow storm was about to arrive! We tried to rearrange our itinerary but the airport was closed for the next 3 days so we were able to make arrangements with another service to fly to and from Milford Sound which was another incredible experience.

We are all quite grateful for your able assistance and am particularly thankful that you came to our rescue when we were abandoned by our previous travel agent. You listened well to our desires and kept working until matching arrangements were put into place so Thank You again Faye!

Hawaii Family Adventure

Hi Faye,

Thank you for helping with our wonderful trip. There were absolutely no glitches at the airports (all 8 flights!) -all went as planned. We were very pleased with all the resorts we stayed in. The Outrigger was perfect for Oahu, and we loved Duke's food. The Hilton Waikoloa and Grand Hyatt were both spectacular. Annette helped us with activities, all of which we enjoyed very much. Backcountry Adventures provided a fabulous zip line tour in Kauai and at the advice of a friend, we went on a boat in Oahu through Dolphin Excursions. We highly recommend them. Jenna was an outstanding captain.

Fabulous Fiji Vacation

Just back from our great trip. Your suggestion of Royal Davui was absoltuely perfect. Exactly what we were looking for. We probably would not have ended up at Davui without your good guidance. So thank you for your excellent and thoughtful advice.

We were in Bure 3, per your suggestion, and it was magnficient. Perhaps the best thought out resort room we ever stayed in, and the view was everything we could have hoped. If and when we go back, we'll probably try Bure 5 (which was already spoken for during our week) since it appears to have a grand location as well.

The Air Pacific Departure lounge passes were hugely appreciated. So getting to spend the hours before our departure in the Air Pacific lounge was a HUGE benefit. Thanks for getting that for us.

Fabulous Beqa Lagoon Experience

We loved our Fiji experience! Everything was as we expected. Diving was super. Mark and Sue at the Beqa Lagoon Island Resort we awesome hosts. We enjoyed their hospitality, conversation and first hand experiences. They really knew the island and the people. The food was attractive, delicious and my children found new foods to try and enjoy.

The room was spacious, relaxing, and so comfortable. Quiet. Very Quiet. We loved to sit on our deck and listen to the ocean and quiet! Our children were forced to converse with us! Dinners were family style and we enjoyed conversation with new friends, our hosts, and especially our children. Rosie's travel was prompt, professional and the airline room was a nice touch. My daughter enjoyed a massage, my husband and son took a relaxing shower.

Our single favorite experience was the diving ~ unanimously. Beqa Resort provided superb diving. The Dive team did a top notch job with gear, assistance and choosing locations. Diving was like being in a beautiful aquarium Everyone at the Resort was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, attractive and the beds were heavenly! There was so much offered for us to try. I regret not having a Spa experience, but others found them relaxing. We went to visit the school. We enjoyed the choir and Meke dancers that came to the resort. The firewalkers were astounding as well. Thank you so much for your fine coordination and service. You anticipated our needs and any problems we would encounter with your emails which helped guided us through our visit. We can't wait to do this again with you.

Beautiful Beqa Lagoon Resort Happy Travelers

Dear Faye,
We thank you so much for your help in planning this trip to Beqa Lagoon Resort in Fiji. Our room and all the accommodations were exactly as advertised. The food was above par that is for sure. The massages were reasonable and great also at this resort. We especially enjoyed the preflight home in the Rosie's lounge. That was a big treat, with the comfort and the massage. Thank you so much for that. We did get the hotel day room which worked out great.

We did not mind the rain as our goal was to snorkel but only got about 3 days of snorkeling and a storm many miles away goofed up the water making it very cloudy. The second week we had mostly sunny weather and after a few days the waters cleared up. Swam with a 7 foot white tip shark in front of the resort. Now that was more than we asked for thank you very much. We hiked to the waterfall and believe me even the youngsters were having a hard time. A very difficult hike but made it and loved it. Too bad the sweat or waterfall washed all the bug spray off as we got really bitten coming back. Only 5 of us made this hike and 3 of them and the guide were under 30. So being over 70 was tough.

We thank you so much for your great planning of this trip. We would recommend you to any and everyone.

Fantastic Sunny Warm Hawaii Vacation

Hello Faye,
We returned from the mild temperatures of Hawaii to the frigid cold of North Dakota; wish the weather could have been packed in the little room we had left in our luggage.

I want to personally thank you for the great trip you arranged for us. We all enjoyed this much needed vacation and your meticulous planning of our flights/lodging made it that much more enjoyable! We were very pleased with the lodging. Great views and easy access to the pool areas. Considering the locations of each condo unit and the plus/minus's of each; we certainly felt fortunate to have the unit that you placed us in. Where you rest and relax can certainly make or break an enjoyable vacation; and your great work in arranging the perfect lodging for us guaranteed that our vacation was enjoyable.

Overall I rate your performance as our Vacation Advisor as an A+ and will highly recommend you to family and friends for their vacations and I can assure you that you will be hearing from us to plan our next family vacation.
The only hiccup we experienced with the travel arrangements is Alamo charged us for an additional day for 1/2/11 since our flight did not leave until 9:40 PM.

Please extend our thanks to Annette Rawlings for the equally great work she did in arranging our activities. We enjoyed each and every activity she recommended. The only disappointment was the fishing trip; we didn't catch any fish! Too bad you can't arrange the fish's travel plans to intersect with our boat. Let us know when you will be adding this service as well. All kidding aside; the crew of the charter boat were very professional and tried very hard to find the fish and the experience will be remembered by all. Our favorite was the Molokini snorkeling. We were fortunate to have a clear day with calm waters; and lucky enough to have plenty of dolphin and whale sightings/viewing on top of the fish and turtles.

Thanks again to all at McCoy Travel for a great vacation that will be eternally remembered by the entire family. It will be a challenge to top this vacation; but we'll definitely be contacting you in the future to help us attempt an even better sequel.

Fiji & Hawaii Luxury Travels

The trip was excellent, thank you very much. Namale was almost perfect with super nice people, excellent facilities and service. They really went out of their way for our anniversary dinner with music, cake and room decorations. I told Anna, they probably have never seen people who stayed together for 35 years. We have broken the Namale record (it was 30th anniversary before). The diving was badly affected by the weather but I did get certified, so I am happy. The villa was excellent.

Hawaii was very good. Four Seasons is Four Seasons - always the same and always good. We found ourselves talking about Namale all the time which tells you how much we appreciated it. The golfing was very good and lava boat even better.

As for your services, no complains whatsoever. I am very happy and will mention you on TripAdvisor. You do not have to change anything.

I hope your NZ trip was equally good. Thanks again for your help and we are looking forward to using your services again. I promise I will share you with others against my common sense.

Beautiful Fiji - Taveuni Palms Vacation

Hi Faye,

I know you are on vacation but thought I would send a quick note to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Taveuni Palms. Unfortunately, Kelly and Tony were not there but on vacation, however Derek took great care of us. Andrew and I both commented that we felt it was the best vacation we have had. Fell in love with Jimbo and the rest of the staff and absolutely LOVED Taveuni. The only problem was that we did not get to stay enough nights and are planning to go back (as soon as we can) and for more nights. I really didn't know if it would live up to my expectations after reading your e-mail and the comments on Trip Advisor about what a wonderful place it was, but it surpassed all of my expectations. Thank you again for all your hard work in making this work for us as it really was exceptional.

Have a wonderful time in a New Zealand. I will be in touch soon - as soon as we can figure out when we might be able to get over there again (and this time, I will book it far in advance!)

"Wow! Taveuni Palms not only met, but exceeded all of our expectations. After reading most of the previous posts on Trip Advisor, I will admit my expectations were pretty high, but still had doubts on whether I might be a little disappointed. I can say that we were not disappointed in the least – what a vacation!

After a long flight we arrived and were met by Babbu and Derek (filling in for owners Kelly and Tony while they took a much deserved vacation) and dropped off at Coconut Grove for breakfast while they finished getting the lower villa ready for us. An hour later, we were whisked to the resort, greeted with lei’s, bula drinks and the staff welcoming us with their beautiful Fijian singing. It was overwhelming to say the least.

We were shown to our villa and could not have been happier. The location is spectacular and we immediately felt ourselves relax and melt into the day. Jimbo (Kelly and Tony’s lab) came up to greet us and we knew it was the start of a great trip.

I am the type of person that has to plan everything out and we immediately went down to see Anna to schedule the activities for the week. Anna was so kind and just smiled at us and took notes, letting me know they would get back to us. Teila came to meet with us regarding our dinner selections and our activity choices. Teila is one of a kind – she listened to what we wanted to do and then smiled and gently suggested that we switch some things around as some of the excursions we wanted to do fell on the weekend or holiday and would be much more crowded (crowded for Taveuni that is) than if we went on a different day. She was so right – we were the only people at Bouma Falls when we went, and only saw 4 other tourists during the Lavena Kayak/Coastal Walk.

We went out snorkeling with John (boat owner/captain) and Johnny (staff snorkeling guide). John knows all the best places to go, as previous posts have indicated. The coral and fish colors were absolutely amazing. Additionally, we did the south island tour one day and visited the waterslide – we had so much fun. The local village kids showed up, so we actually got to see them “surf” the waterslide – it was amazing. Unfortunately, we never made it out on the resort sea kayaks, but plan on getting to that on a return trip – yes, we have already booked a return visit and are counting the days.

The meals were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The staff is so amazing – they are all so friendly and are always smiling. We, too, were invited to Sia’s village for the lovo. It was such a great experience, something we felt everyone should do if presented with the opportunity – it really makes you think about what is important in life. Fijians are the nicest people we have ever met. As we say, we arrived as guests but we left as family.

And finally, we usually book our travel plans ourselves, but this time we used Faye Bartlett at McCoy Travel. It was such a pleasant experience to work with Faye. The flight was pretty full by the time we were booking and she was able to work her magic and get some seats released so we were able to purchase the tickets we wanted. On top of that, she saved me more money than if I would have booked the trip myself.All in all, the best vacation we have had to date and well worth the money.

Fabulous Tahiti Vacation

Hi Faye,

I just wanted to thank you for all your help with my 3rd anniversary wedding trip to Bora Bora. The Four Seasons and St. Regis hospitality was beyond my expectations!

The rooms at St. Regis we decorated nicer, more comfortable beds, and substantially larger than the Four Seasons. However, the food, spa, and overall "vibe" of the Four Seasons, my husband and I thought, was better. The spa was world class! We had a 3-hour couple massage that ended with a mineral bath for two!!

Thanks for mentioning our "VIP" status with you, I really appreciate it and look forward to working with you in the future.
