New Zealand - Rarotonga - Fabulous Trip!

Fiji - New Zealand - Hawaii

Mike, Bula Bula Bula and Aloha!

Mahalo and Denaka for your help on my trip.

I made it back. The only problem was leaving NZ, Fiji and Hawaii.

New Zealand is heaven on earth... Fiji was absolutely magical... Kauai was wonderful..

The best thing you did was be the foil in my lodging selections, and recommend the Fiji sailing "adventure". Without the give-and-take on the lodgings, I would have not found the ones I found, or made the same decisions. Thank you!!!

In NZ, the Auckland Westin was 5 star. Once I realized all the prices were in $Kiwis, and the $Kiwi is half the $Usdollar, I ordered another bottle of Hawkes Bay Pinot Noir and another Pavlova! Auckland was about ten times better than Seattle or San Francisco (our best cities in the US). I could live there in a minute. Great people, city, neighborhoods, golf (Murawai by the beach and Titirangi, a parkland course designed by Alistar McKenzie), sailing, shopping, dining and perfect weather!

Australia - New Zealand - Fiji

Hi Faye,

We had a blast...! Everything went really great and the motels were very nice..the train system in Aus is wonderful! No problems. New Zealand was amazing and we loved all our excursions...really loved Queenstown and John bungy jumped which nearly gave me a heart attack! We loved driving in New Zealand down to Milford Sound...very worth the trip...wish we had had more time to explore the wineries in the area, too.

Fiji was not our favorite and we stayed there way too long. The resort was nice but remote so we could not get around well to explore...wish we had booked another Island and more excursions away from the resort. In fact maybe we should have stayed downtown in the harbour/port area as a base and excursions out from there...NO KIDS at the resort John's age and no night life...they must have all been in the port city and off on other Islands. He was bored with me I'm sure but he caught up with his rest and reading.

Overall, we had a blast and really enjoyed ourselves. Aus was great and I loved Newcastle and the small towns we went thru by train.
