We had a great time in Hawaii! We were in Honolulu for two days and visited Pearl Harbour. The tour was very interesting and enjoyable. We then traveled to Kaua'i for five days and loved it! Everything was so BEAUTIFUL! I never knew there were so many different shades of green! We took a helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. The views were awesome! It was a little rainy that day, but overall it was very nice. The Resort was our favorite part of our trip. We upgraded to an ocean view room and were so glad we did. The beach was just steps away from our room. We attended the luau there and loved every bit of it. The food and entertainment were both excellent.
We flew American Airlines. I guess the worst part was the return flight. We had two connections coming home and it was a very long day for us. We left Lihue at 10:00 PM and finally got home to Amarillo, Texas by 2:30 PM the next day. We would have loved a direct flight to Dallas and then just that short flight to Amarillo. That would have been so much better. Also, we had to pay for in-flight food. It was expensive and really not very good.
Anyway, thanks for an amazing trip! (Hiapo and Melissa were both very helpful with arrangements.)
