Dream Honeymoon in Tahiti

Faye should be nominated the best travel agent in the world!

With patience of a saint when I changed my mind a thousand times on the dates and the location I wanted, to her resourcefulness in finding and securing the very best deals for us, to her quick responsiveness to my thousand emails and phone calls, her sensitivity, humor and kindness to my frantic rush to secure our honeymoon, Faye worked a miracle on the very, very limited budget my fiancé and I had, and had us upgraded to the very best overwater bungalow lagoon with VIP status, in order to make our dream honeymoon in
Tahiti come true! If this isn’t a happily ever after ending, I don’t know what is!I'll send a photo of us in our overwater bungalow soon!

Thanks again!

Magical Tahitian Weddingmoon

Dear Melissa & Faye ,

Our trip was the greatest experience of our lives. I think the single best experience was our wedding at the St. Regis quickly followed by the food, service, and overall accommodations at both the St. Regis in Bora Bora and the Paul Gauguin Cruise. Everyone that we worked with was EXTREMELY sincere and authentic, anticipating and exceeding our every want. It was truly a magical experience.

Thank you.

Fabulous Maui & the Kea Lani

Hi Sue!

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply - it's been a busy summer! Our trip was wonderful, thanks so much for all of your help! Thanks also for the lovely food & drink that was in our room at the Fairmont Kea Lani when we arrived.

My favorite part of the trip was the snorkel trip thru Trilogy. The staff was top-notch in every way. Funny thing, once we got back I was looking through my Maui For Dummies book again (where I found your agency) and found info on Trilogy. I didn't see it before the trip. They got a great rating, but there was a caveat about them becoming "too slick"....I didn't find them to be that way at all. Oh - and a warning, the trip back from Lanai is very choppy (they said it's always that way), for me it was very scary but I lived through it, and it didn't change my opinion of the whole day at all.

The hotel was fabulous also! The staff was great, and I loved how they came around w/cold towels, ice water, and pineapple slices during the day. Their cabanas are very reasonably priced. You could choose either $100/day which included free drinks, juice, fruit, etc or $100 for two days not including the extras. We got the cabana for 2 days, worth every penny on days where there isn't a cloud in the sky. As a comparison, the cabanas in Wisconsin Dells resort hotels run $100 - $200 day depending on the season.

Dinner at Nick's Fish Market was superb, and also the most expensive dinner we've ever had! The bill was $400+ for 4 of us. We expected it though, and it makes for a good story. In my opinion though (I'm not a fish eater except for crab & scallops) the best meal I had was the BBQ on Lanai after our snorkel trip. I've never seen my son eat two pieces of chicken and two helping of peas!

Other highlights were Lahaina village and the helicopter ride, though I didn't go on it. Just Joe and the kids. I get air and sea sick (took Dramamine before the snorkel trip and I was fine). They mail you a DVD of it, so I got to see it anyway. A funny - rather weird - story surrounding the helicopter ride. We learned that there is a big push for time share resales there in Maui. The guy at the snorkel shop, who rented us great snorkel sets, tried to give us a huge discount on the ride if we spent 2 hours listening to a time-share salesperson. He was very, very slick about it and we almost bought into it. After that we noticed lots of people in the area trying to sell deeply discounted activities if you spent the time listening to the spiel. That was probably the only dark spot of the trip.

I hope this email isn't too long for you - I figured the more I told you the more you could tell future customers :-) All in all, it was a fabulous trip and my husband is already talking about us going back someday.

Thanks again for all your help - I'll be sure to use you again in the future if we do go back there, or any other place your agency can help with!

Lovely Alaska Cruse with Holland America

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for your e-mail and request for our comments regarding our recent trip to Alaska. First of all, I want to give a big "thank you" to
Lauren on your staff who was so helpful in answering all our concerns (this was our first cruise) and making sure that everything went smoothly for us and for Winston and Kathy. Lauren was wonderful. Writing for Arthur and myself, we would certainly ask McCoy Travel for any future world travel we plan in the future. I have been forwarding your many e-mails to a friend who wants to go someplace on tour. Here are a few comments regarding our trip. I hope that they are helpful.

1. Airline travel went very smoothly going and the delay on our return to San Francisco couldn't be helped because of the low visibility at the airport. We arrived at the airport around 9:00 a.m. and had to wait until our 3:45 p.m. flight to San Fancisco. Since we had all our luggage with us, we had no choice but to sit around the terminal for 6 hours. One thing we did not like at the airport. We were given luggage tags the evening before we left the ship to attach to our check-in luggage. The luggage tags were not numbered and when we went to claim our luggage at the airport, there was no security person checking that the rightful owner picked up their luggage. We felt this was poor security. We had to go directly from the bus to claim our luggage at the airport and could not tour Vancouver at all.

2. Holland America's tour guide, Peter Gaspar, did a outstanding job the 9 days he led our tour and handling any minor emergencies that came up.

3. The hotels during the land portion in Alaska and the Yukon were mostly adequate; however, the room at two of the properties were small and no air condioning so they were not very comfortable because it was very warm during our stay.

4. The prepaid dinners on board the Volendam were excellent and the service was also outstanding. We thought the Ledo deck's breakfast was always very good.

5. The tours included in our package was very good and the time-schedule our land portion had was well organized. We had some delays in Anchorage that couldn't be helped. Holland America does an excellent job of handing out informational literature at each stop. This was one of the most organized portion of our land tour.

6. I thank
Lauren for suggesting that we do the land tour first and complete our trip on board the cruise. The land portion of the trip was hard on someone who likes to sleep in, and this allowed them to sleep late on the ship if they wanted. For us, the four days on board was just long enough. I don't think I would like being on a ship for a longer length of time.

7. Our next trip will probably be in a year or two and we would like to go to Australia and New Zealand next. Is there a land tour and cruise package that can be arranged?

I tried to make fair comments regarding our tour. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip to our friends and we learned a lot about how to travel. One suggestion I would make. They sell pants that can be worn long or unzipped to make them into shorts. This would definitely be recommended for Alaska. Some parts were very warm and others were cold where a jacket was needed. We were lucky with the mosquitoes. They didn't bother us except in Fairbanks and Beaver Creek but sun screen and repellent are a must.

Beautiful Diving in Grand Cayman

Hi Melissa,
Our recent trip was great.
Grand Cayman was a wonderful place to take a family vacation. The water was warm and the diving was beautiful. The first place I've been where I could dive without a wetsuit (I get cold in the bathtub). We ended up chartering a boat through Divers Down because the first dive operation we used (Red Sail) that was through the Westin just had too many people on it and had limited options for dive sites. I became spoiled after diving in Fiji and Tahiti with the small boats. Divers Down had good reviews online and their crew was really nice and was good about recommending dive sites. My stepdaughters also got their Advanced Open Water Diver Certification through them. The Westin was a very nice to place to stay and had a nice pool and beautiful beach. Please let Lori know it was a great vacation and we really appreciate her good job. We look forward to having you help us with our next travel plans.

Thank you,

Fiji Travel Planning

Bula,

I recently had the opportunity to work with Faye wherein she assisted in booking a trip to Fiji for me and my husband. Faye was fantastic and definitely put the effort in to make my dream vacation happen. She answered every e-mail and phone call promptly and always answered all of my questions. I usually do all of our vacation planning/booking myself, but after my experience with Faye, I will not hesitate to contact her before booking our next vacation as she exceeded all of my expectations! Faye is a delight and definitely an asset to your business, as I am sure you already know.

Fabulou Hawaii Vacation

Aloha Sue,

Our vacation was wonderful!!! Thank you for all the work you put into making this such a memorable experience. Thanks also for the welcoming snack basket. I couldn't stay away from the chocolate macadamia nuts!! The Fairmont was spectacular, our room was excellent and so was our view. We enjoyed the breakfast, it really kept us going all day. We toured pretty much of the island ( in our sweet red mustang convertible) Ron is still dreaming about that, and we feel that the Fairmont in Wailea was a perfect pick for us.Absolutely beautiful!!! We really enjoyed the tours, we were upgraded on the helicopter ride and viewed the whole island from the front seats with the pilot-- spectacular!! The snorkel cruise was a lot of fun and very exciting seeing all the sea turtles, fish, coral, and even an octopus.

The luau was enjoyable and the ride to lahaina was unbelievable, it had just rained, and we saw so many rainbows!!! It was so beautiful pictures couldn't capture it. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Maui. Oahu was nice, and glad we were able to see it, but didn't compare to Maui. Pearl Harbor was touching and definitely something to experience. We enjoyed watching all the surfers on Wakiki beach. The Royal Hawaiian was nice, ( pool is awfully small), but once again probably not fair to compare after staying at the Fairmont.
I really can't thank you enough, you were very pleasant to work with, and I feel you truly put together the best possible vacation package for us!!! Would definitely contact you for any future vacation plans!!

Thanks again,

Tahiti Wedding Ceremony Vacation

Hello Faye,

First, we had the best trip of our lives! Our Tahiti Wedding Ceremony was outstanding-we loved it so much!!!

The highlights of the trip were:
-the airline was great. They served 2 meals plus snacks and drinks and all of the headphones, pillows and blankets came without charge.
-The Sofitel resort is AMAZING! We visited other locations during our adventures and nothing looked nearly as amazing! Our overwater bungalow was like something out of a dream. The staff was great and friendly (though there was more of a language barrier than we had anticipated...it made it fun).
-Our wedding ceremony. It was intimate, beautiful and more than we could've imagined
-The motu picnic was our favorite excursion during our stay (and we booked several others while on the island). The company you booked us with were really cool people. They made us feel like we were hanging out with family.

All in all, we loved our vacation. We have recommended the islands as well as the travel agency to many of our family and friends already. We really would like to thank you for all of you help. We've attached a couple of pictures from our ceremony in case you're curious.

Thank you again for all of your help!!!

Hawaii Tropical Island Paradise Vacation

Aloha Joanne,

I am so much enjoying my stay here at the Napili Kai ... it is truly a little
tropical island paradise with a very relaxed atmosphere, just what I was looking for. I have a beautiful studio above the lobby area with a magnificent view of the beach. I just love it!

Upon my arrival, I was so pleasantly surprised with your gift of a bottle of white wine. Thank you very much for this in welcoming me to lovely Maui. Yesterday, I attended the breakfast orientation hosted by Pleasant Holidays. There was a very good presentation of all of the various activities/tours available. I signed up for the luau, so far. The breakfast was very nice as well.

Joanne, again, many thanks for making my holiday arrangements at the Napili Kai. I look forward to working with you again as I make future plans to return to Maui.

Mahalo and best wishes to you,
L. Bergant
